A Flexible Meal Plan for a Busy Week
A weekly meal plan can be a loose framework rather than a timetable you must obey. Its purpose is to reduce repeated decisions while leaving room for changing schedules and preferences.
Begin with the days that are already predictable. Mark late evenings, shared meals and times when you expect to eat elsewhere. Look through the food you have before creating a shopping list, checking labels and condition as appropriate.

Choose a small number of familiar meals and identify ingredients they can share. Keep a simple alternative for a day when the original plan becomes impractical. Avoid building a week around several new recipes that each need unfamiliar preparation.
After the week, note what you actually cooked and which ingredients remained unused. Adjust the next plan from that evidence. A useful routine should reflect how your household eats, rather than how an ideal week appears on paper.
